The
City of Cullman Accounting Department is responsible for processing and
maintaining accurate and timely financial records of city revenues,
expenditures, assets, and liabilities. This department also assures
proper accountability, controls, and compliance of the various
departments with established accounting guidelines and procedures. All
accounting reports and documents are generated and processed through the
city's automated accounting system.
The City of Cullman
Accounting Department is located inside Cullman City Hall. Office hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday
through Friday. Specific duties of the
Accounting Department include, but are not limited to, the following:

General ledger reporting.

Preparing vouchers and processing checks to vendors and maintaining
corresponding records.

Recording and processing accounts receivable invoices and maintaining
corresponding records.

Maintaining the fixed assets property records, accounting for all
acquisitions, transfers and retirements.

Monitoring all grants for compliance.
Coordinating the annual audit.
