Demonstrations begin at 10
a.m. and will continue each
Saturday through September
with a different market item
featured each week. Copies
of recipes will also be
available. Remember, all
cooking demonstration
samples are FREE.

coming to the market daily
“Canning Season” is
officially underway. Agents
with the Cullman County
Office of the Alabama
Cooperative Extension
Service will be at the
Festhalle Market on Tuesday,
June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. and Thursday, June 20,
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to
test pressure canner gauges
to make certain your
favorite canner is sealing
properly and holding the
correct pressure.
Festhalle Market will also
host a visit by participants
in the annual “Touring Farms
for Kids” program Thursday,
June 20. The program
designed with fun and
educational activities for
kids ages 7 to 13, is
sponsored through the Agriplex Heritage
Center in Cullman.
The Festhalle will also host
live entertainment each
Saturday when available.

Members of the Cullman
County Master Gardeners are
at the market the second and
last Saturdays of each month
to accept soil samples for
testing. They will also
attempt to answer any
questions you may have about
lawn and garden care. The
Master Gardeners will next
be at the Festhalle on
Saturday, June 29.
