The City of Cullman IT (Information Technology) Department coordinates and oversees all information and voice communication systems for the City of Cullman and provides leadership in the use of information technology throughout city government.

Information Technology handles day-to-day internal operations of computer and network related systems and infrastructure for the departments of the City of Cullman. This can involve hands on operations, help desk support, planning for expansions, making suggestions and decisions on procurement issues, and overseeing ongoing maintenance.     

A goal of I.T. is to make sure other departments work closely through technology to reduce use of incompatible systems and insure departmental interoperability. Information Technology also educates employees on the use of computer systems and provides updates on current issues as related to technology. While some projects are outsourced, it is another goal of I.T. to handle issues internally whenever possible.
