Department
The Cullman Police Department is located at 603

Police Department serves the City of Cullman and
assists the Cullman County Sheriff's Department,
the State of Alabama Highway Patrol, and
other agencies when necessary.

Sheriff's Department
The Sheriff's Department is located inside the
Cullman County Correctional Facility at 1910 Beech
Avenue Southeast (Cullman) and can be reached at (256)

Sheriff's Department serves all of Cullman County

Hanceville
Police Department
The Hanceville Police Department is located
at 203 Bangor Avenue Southeast (Hanceville)

Hanceville Police Department serves the City
of Hanceville and assists the Cullman County
Sheriff's Department and other agencies when
necessary. Police Captain is

Cullman
Municipal Court
The City of
Cullman Municipal Court Office is
responsible for processing all traffic
tickets, criminal misdemeanor cases,
and municipal
ordinance violations made by the
City of
Cullman Police Department.
City of
Cullman Municipal Court hearings and
trials are held inside the Lucille N.
Galin Municipal Auditorium, which is
located inside Cullman City Hall at 204
Second Avenue Northeast. The Clerk of
the Municipal Court is Dana W. Phillips.
Municipal Court Prosecutor is Michael W.

32nd Alabama Judicial Circuit
The District Attorney for Cullman County is
C. Wilson Blaylock.
His office is located in the
Cullman County Courthouse
at 500 Second Avenue Southwest (Cullman),

736-2800. The Cullman County DA's Office is
responsible for prosecuting felony,
misdemeanor, and juvenile cases that occur

The
Cullman County Circuit Court is located on
the third floor of the
Cullman County Courthouse
at 500 Second Avenue Southwest (Cullman).
The Circuit Court Clerk is
Robert G. Bates.
Circuit Court Judges are H. Frank Brunner
(256-775-4653) and Don Hardeman
(256-775-4765). The Cullman Circuit Court
handles all felony prosecutions in Cullman
county and has appellate jurisdiction over
Cullman county District Court cases. The
Circuit Court also has jurisdiction over all
Cullman County civil actions in which the
matter of controversy exceeds $10,000 and
over all domestic relations actions in
Cullman County. |

District Court Judges are Kim J. Chaney

(256-775-4667). The Cullman District Court
handles misdemeanor charges, traffic
violations, and small claims civil cases.

civil lawsuits ranging in amounts of $3,000

Cullman
Probate Court
The Cullman
County Probate Court is located on the first
floor of the
Cullman County Courthouse
at 500 Second Avenue Southwest (Cullman).
The Probate Court Judge is Leah
Patterson-Lust. The Cullman Probate Court
Office handles probating wills,
administering in testate estates,
guardianships, conservatorships, mental
commitments, name changes, marriage
licenses, and more. The Probate Judge is
also the election official for the county. |

FIRE/RESCUE
The
City of Cullman Fire/Rescue Department
is comprised of two fire stations staffed by full-time firemen. The Department
provides emergency response to all fires, hazardous material incidents, vehicle
accidents, and any other emergency situations requiring their services within
the City of Cullman. Fires are also investigated by this department.
Administration offices are located inside Cullman City Hall at 204 2nd Avenue NE
(Cullman) and can be reached at (256) 775-7186. Fire Station #1 is located at
207 Third Avenue NE (Cullman) and can be reached at (256) 739-6419. Fire Station
#2 is located at 1711 Main Avenue SW (Cullman) and can be reached at (256)

Cullman Fire Chief is Edward J. Reinhardt, Jr. Cullman Fire Marshall is Chris
Chaffin. Cullman Fire Training Officer is Mike Hackney. Cullman Fire
Administrative Assistant is Jamie Patton.
There are also 26 volunteer fire departments with 50 stations throughout Cullman
County.

DRIVER LICENSES
A person moving into Cullman from another state must
obtain an Alabama driver license within thirty (30)
days of establishing residency. Driver's Licenses
can be obtained at the
Driver's License Department
in the Cullman County Courthouse at 500 Second
Avenue Southwest.

AUTOMOBILE & VESSEL TAGS
New residents have
thirty (30) days after establishing residency to
purchase an Alabama automobile license plate. These
license plates can be purchased in the
Revenue
Commissioner's Office located on the first floor of
the Cullman County Courthouse at 500 Second Avenue
Southwest. Alabama license plates are purchased
January through October for current residents. For

FISHING & HUNTING
LICENSES
Licenses for fishing and hunting can be obtained at the Cullman
County Probate Judge's Office located on the first
floor of the
Cullman County Courthouse at 500 Second
Avenue Southwest.
Freshwater fishing
licenses are required for
residents between the ages of 16 & 64 who fish with
a rod and reel or artificial bait.
An Alabama
fishing license or a
Wildlife Heritage
License is required to fish with hook
and line outside county of legal residence or from a
boat anywhere on freshwater. To purchase a
resident license, one must possess an Alabama
Driver's License, Alabama's Non-driver's ID Card, or
meet the
residency proof.
Non-residents ages 16 and older are required to have
a non-resident's license. A person may only be a
resident of one state.
NOTE: Residents 65 years of age and over are exempt
from buying fishing licenses providing
that
said resident has on his person while fishing an
Alabama Driver License, an Alabama non-driver
identification card, or
other proof
of permanent Alabama residence and age.
Hunting licenses can also be
obtained online
or by phone.
Hunters education
is required for some.

PET LICENSES
Each
owner of a dog or other animal subject to the
licensing provisions of the ordinances shall obtain
a license tag from the City Clerk. It shall be
unlawful for any person to possess, keep, or harbor
in the city any dog or other animal required to be
vaccinated for rabies by Alabama law which does not
have attached to it a license tag as herein
required.
