Geographical Location
Cullman County is
centrally located between the
cities of Birmingham and
Huntsville in Alabama in the
the center
of the northern half of the
State of Alabama on Brindley
Mountain. Brindley Mountain is
part of the Cumberland Plateau
which divides the Tennessee
River Watershed to the North
from the Warrior River Watershed
to the South. Cullman County
covers 743 square miles and is
802 feet above sea level.
The
City of Cullman is the county
seat of Cullman County and is located
near the center of Cullman
County.
Cullman is centrally located
between Birmingham, the iron &
coal center of the South, and
Huntsville, home of Redstone
Arsenal and Huntsville Space &
Rocket Center. Two
excellent ports on the Tennessee
River - Decatur at 32 miles &
Guntersville at 36 miles - are
