The Department of Public Works is committed to providing high-quality, cost effective and safe Public Works services that ensure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Cullman and protect and enhance the environment. This department is responsible for providing administrative oversight of the care and maintenance of City streets, storm sewers, City trees, street lights, traffic signs at intersections, building and grounds maintenance and much more.

The Director of the Department of Public Works is Pete Nassetta. The Public Works Department is located in the municipal building across from Cullman City Hall. Our office hours are from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Department of Public Works coordinates and oversees the services of several City departments, including:
