The City of Cullman Wastewater Treatment Plant is located on Welti Road in Cullman. The Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant is Jeff Adams. Office hours for the Wastewater Treatment Plant are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The City of Cullman Wastewater Treatment Plant is a 4.75 mgd (million gallon per day) rated plant, a state-of-the-art treatment facility.

Soiled waste water is collected via one hundred miles, more or less, of varying size pipes and treated by a two-stage biological contact chamber system, primary and secondary with clarification and ultraviolet disinfection, before being discharged into the receiving stream (Eight Mile Creek).

Samples are collected and tests performed by the lab technician and reported to the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) as specified by state and federal regulations.
