WATER

The City of Cullman Water Department has many functions including, but not limited to, the following:

Building, maintaining and replacing water lines and connections.
Repairing damaged water lines.
Responding to service calls regarding water leaks, high water bills, meter problems, etc.
Setting up and maintaining customer accounts.
Reading water meters.
Billing and collecting payments for water service.
Answering customer questions regarding water rates, services and bills.

WASTEWATER

The City of Cullman Wastewater Department has many functions including, but not limited to, the following:

Building and replacing sanitary sewer lines, service connections, manhole structures.
Inspecting and repairing existing sanitary sewer lines and manhole structures and hydra-cleaning.
Responding to service calls.
Inspecting lines constructed by private contractors prior to acceptance by the city.
Restoring streets, curbs and other construction site areas when work is completed.

The City of Cullman Water/Wastewater Department is located in the municipal building across from Cullman City Hall. The Superintendent of the City of Cullman Water/Wastewater Department is Junior Heaton. Office hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Personnel are on call 24 hours a day for emergency repairs and service.

To report a water or sewer line problem, missing manhole cover, or other problem contact the Water/Wastewater Department during the hours of 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. To report a water or sewer line problem or emergency on weekends or after hours, call Police Dispatch at (256) 734-1434. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day.

Outside City…………..$20.15 minimum………..$4.60 per thousand gallons

WASTEWATER RATES

Inside City Limits……$22.50 minimum…………$7.15 per thousand gallons

Outside City…………..$24.70 minimum…………$8.00 per thousand gallons
